Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
I've been using Cog for a couple of years, currently on my Macbook Air M2 with the latest macOS Sequoia 15.0.1. Everything was working perfectly with the older version of Cog, which I think was 2848.
When upgrading to Cog 2857 (by downloading it from cog.losno.co), Cog asked me to grant permission to my mp3 folder. No matter how many times I click the "Open" button in the dialog that appears, it keeps showing me the warning dialog and then re-displaying the file browser dialog with the "Open" button.
I have tried to grant Cog full disk access in System Preferences, and that doesn't help.
For some reason, Cog cannot determine that permissions have already been granted, and so I am stuck in this loop and can't play any music.
I tried uninstalling and installing from the Mac App Store instead, and that didn't work. It also didn't work to install v2854.
I solved the problem by downgrading back to version 2405, which works perfectly, and doesn't ask me to grant permissions at all.
I think I was using v2848 before all of these problems started today, but for some reason that isn't available for download on your web site, so I could not downgrade to that version. Please could you make it available for download on your web site?
Maybe the internal Cog data store for preferences is corrupted somehow on my Mac, and I can fix this by deleting that? I'm not sure how to do that.
Thanks, Cog is amazing!
FYI I fixed it - I figured out I could delete the
~/Library/Containers/org.cogx.cog/Data/Library/Application Support/Cog
directory, and then everything worked perfectly with the latest verison.
