Describe
In the latest Cog version 2955, a sound glitch ('bzz') randomly appears after you stop a playing track with the stop button or click to switch to another track while the first track is still playing.

To Reproduce

  1. Load an album (FLAC tracks from an external SSD).
  2. Start playing any track.
  3. Stop the track by pressing the stop button.
  4. You may hear a sound glitch before the track stops. If this does not happen, return to step 2.

Alternative steps:
3. Switch to another track by double clicking on it.
4. You may hear a sound glitch before the next track starts playing. If this does not happen, return to step 2.

Expected behavior
Playback stops or switches to another track without any sound glitches.

Version information:

  • macOS version: 15.3.1 (24D70)
  • Cog version: Version 2955 (2955-g5424e18f2)

Which sound device are you using? Internal output, Bluetooth, USB? Also, it matters which sample rate it's using, too. Hmm, and channel count for the output.

Sorry for the delay.

I'm using the headphone output. Sample rate is set to 88.2 kHz in the MIDI settings panel, and there are only two channels. Tracks are 44.1 kHz.

By the way, I updated Cog to the latest version (2982) and could not reproduce the issue.
